SHS Orchestra proudly welcomed Ms. Tanya Chan as this year’s Artist-in-Residence. She worked with the SHS String Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra, and coached lessons and sectional rehearsals for SHS and LCJSMS lower strings students. Our musicians gained valuable insights into technique, sound production, and ensemble playing, and we can’t wait to welcome her back in April!
On February 19, SHS orchestra and band students enjoyed a special live performance by Lyrica Chamber Music. It was an honor to hear world-class musicians violinist Isabelle Ai Durrenberg, cellist Ani Kalayjian, and pianist Dr. Min Young Kang. The concert was followed by a masterclass and a violin workshop.
