If you have a student in the middle school or high school, if you have a child in band, chorus or orchestra, if you value the excellence in music that is in Summit, become a valued member of SMPA!
SMPA actively supports Summit’s music programs. We provide support during competitions, whether hosting competitions or assisting musicians to competitions. We provide funding for outside music instructors to come to our schools for special sessions. We host award dinners and provide scholarships. And that’s just a sampling.
As a result of providing so much support, we rely on the Summit community for support through our Pledge Day fundraiser and the football home game concession stand.
Parent involvement is crucial to our success in supporting Summit schools’ music programs. Your talents support the musical growth of our children. There are numerous opportunities to volunteer and help out. If you like to organize a group, volunteer for a couple of hours, can only volunteer in the evenings, we have opportunities to fit anyone’s time and talents!
The opportunities are boundless, but that’s little compared to the rewarding experience you’ll have working with such a talented and dedicated group of young men and women. If you would like to volunteer or have any questions about volunteering, contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Lori Leighter.
